There is a new rulemaking czar at the Federal Trade Commission and his name is Austin King. Federal Trade Commission Acting Chair Rebecca Kelly Slaughter appointed King, one of her attorney advisors on consumer protection matters, as the associate general counsel of the commission’s new rulemaking group. King knows a thing or two about leadership. He won a seat on the Madison, Wisconsin, city council at the age of 21 and took over as council president by 24.
