Had the 13 colonies not initiated war against Great Britain’s King George III more than 247 years ago, some real antitrust reform might have been in the cards. The White House yesterday reiterated its call for legislation targeting powerful technology companies as the lack of votes – those pesky things – have prevented President Biden from doing it himself. On the same day, Senator Ted Cruz got in the way of the Senate’s efforts to implement at least one of those new laws before the midterm elections.
