We are on Capitol Hill today for the Senate antitrust subcommittee’s hearing on the proposed T-Mobile/Sprint merger – dubbed “Game of Phones” – which will take the number of major mobile phone companies in the US from four to three. For those who want some history, today marks one year since the European Union imposed a record $2.7 billion fine on Google and 34 years since the Supreme Court ruled that the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s television plan violated the antitrust laws in NCAA v Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma.
