It is not clear who is really revving the engine against Harley Davidson. The Federal Trade Commission’s bureau of consumer protection started the ignition back in June when it alleged the motorcycle manufacturer’s right-to-repair restrictions violated the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The private antitrust bar is now following that lead – and in doing so, is looking to ride away with Senator John Sherman and treble damages.
