Federalism fun: The Tipline for 19 January 2024
The Department of Justice has joined an antitrust lawsuit filed by state attorneys general – a first according to the State of Ohio. The Antitrust Division added its name to an Ohio-led challenge of a National Collegiate Athletic Association rule requiring certain transfers to sit out a season before playing for their new school. “We are proud to stand with our state law enforcement partners on behalf of college athletes across the nation,” assistant attorney general Jonathan Kanter said in a statement.
