The Federal Trade Commission’s proposed non-compete ban is clearly receiving pushback from the ideological right, but agency chair Lina Khan’s allies on the left want to see their changes in the final version, too. Open Markets Institute is arguing that the rule falls short by not issuing a per se ban on terms that require an employee to reimburse their employer for training costs – also known as TRAP fees.
