EDM festival: The Tipline for 12 March 2020

Music fans might know EDM as an acronym for electronic dance music, but in the antitrust world it stands for elimination of double marginalisation, a hotly debated consequence of vertical mergers. The importance of EDM in assessing vertical deals was at the forefront yesterday in the first public workshop on the draft vertical merger guidelines that the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission released in January. This particular EDM festival was sparsely attended, at least in person, as more employers encouraged their employees to avoid non-essential travel in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
