Dollar drama, SCOTUS cert: The Tipline for 5 April 2017
The House Judiciary Committee will today look at the Standard Merger and Acquisition Reviews Through Equal Rules Act of 2017, which would make procedural changes to the Federal Trade Commission – such as requiring that like the DOJ, it must obtain an injunction from a federal court if it wants to block a merger under Section 7 of the Clayton Act. We’ll be keeping an eye on what the members of Congress do.
