The Department of Justice’s antitrust division has been monitoring the consolidation of cannabis companies, ensuring that no one company holds the House-Targaryen-type of monopoly over the Magic Dragon, colloquially referred to as “Puff”. Attorney General William Barr has a more liberal view of the drug than his predecessor who said “good people don’t smoke marijuana.” But with conflicting state and federal laws, the division finds itself in a bit of a hazier situation in this market.
