Docket, paper, fabric?: The Tipline for 13 October 2023
The Department of Justice’s online search trial against Google has seen both parties list thousands of exhibits to potentially be admitted into evidence. That makes for a lot of online docket entries and paper. But with Google’s outside counsel dedicating a line of questioning to a pair of golf shorts he purchased from an Instagram ad, Judge Amit Mehta said fabric could be a medium for evidence as well. “Would you like to enter the shorts into the record?” he quipped. Also in Tipline, California checks out a lawsuit against Kroger and Albertsons’ merger.
