Congress is once again grappling with how to combat soaring drug prices for US citizens who struggle to afford healthcare while folks overseas pay a fraction of the US price tag. Senators from both sides of the political aisle yesterday called for less talk and more action to get drug prices under control, even if that means implementing price regulations.

If at first you don’t succeed, merge, merge again. The Obama Administration thwarted insurance mergers involving Cigna and Humana but it seems the companies want to pick another fight with the Department of Justice. The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that the insurers are in talks to combine, in what would be the largest merger of the year, with both companies already trying to sell off competing assets.
