Washington, DC, mayor Muriel Bowser ordered all non-essential businesses in the district to close from 10pm last night until 24 April. In an email alert to residents, the city wrote: “We are depending on you – be a good neighbor, STAY HOME.” Antitrust cases continue to move through courts throughout the country while residents of the federal enforcers’ home city work from home. In today’s Tipline, a drugmaker asks the US Food and Drug Administration to rescind orphan drug status for a potential covid-19 treatment, and a federal appellate court affirms the dismissal of a case brought against the Chicago Board of Trade by a defunct competitor.
