DAAG-gie: The Tipline for 12 September 2022
Maggie Goodlander spent so much time on competition policy matters while in the office of Attorney General Merrick Garland that members of the Department of Justice’s antitrust division joked that she was part of their front office. The DAAG-gie nickname has now become a reality. She joins the Antitrust Division as the newest deputy assistant attorney general (DAAG) overseeing appeals, international and policy matters. In somewhat unrelated news, mark your calendars: the DOJ’s monopolisation case against Google is set to go to trial exactly one year from today.
