Last year on this day, the Supreme Court said it would not hear Apple’s appeal in the e-books litigation brought by the Department of Justice. We’ve been waiting patiently for the highest court in the land to take up an antitrust case, ever since Visa botched its chance in November by abandoning the competition issue for which the justices had originally granted review. Until then, we’ve got stories about steel producers escaping antitrust claims and contact lens purchasers trying to get class certification.
