The Federal Trade Commission’s mergers IV division better enjoy reviewing giant supermarket deals. Nine months into its review of Kroger/Albertsons, the FTC learns it now needs to look at Aldi’s plans to purchase 400 stores in the southeast US from Winn-Dixie and Harvey’s. Hopefully, those HHI figures are written in pencil, not pen. Also in Tipline, Zillow and the National Association of Realtors secure a win.
