A pair of Democrats are asking the Department of Justice to seek court approval to extend the Live Nation/Ticketmaster consent decree. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Amy Klobuchar have urged the Antitrust Division to investigate the state of competition in the online ticketing industry, saying they are “deeply disturbed” by reports that the combined entity has violated certain behavioural conditions to the detriment of American consumers.
