Burning the midnight oil: The Tipline for 15 April 2021
The House Judiciary Committee ran a legislative markup marathon yesterday, debating amendments to various legislative proposals from 10am until the wee hours of this morning. The digital platforms report published by House antitrust subcommittee staff in October served as the final act. Several Republican members unsuccessfully pushed for changes condemning “anti-conservative bias” on the part of large technology companies while multiple Democrats sang praises for subcommittee chair David Cicilline and his work on the investigation.
