It has been a challenging time for prosecutors bringing criminal antitrust charges against individuals. The Department of Justice has struggled to persuade juries in its broiler chicken and labour cases thus far, but it certainly gets easier when they accept a guilty plea. Federal courts handed out a combined 42 months in prison sentences on Wednesday to three individuals who admitted their roles in price-fixing conspiracies.
