Referencing Star Trek, White House adviser Tim Wu said yesterday that the White House Competition Council’s continuing mission “is in many ways to go where no antitrust agency has gone before, or at least no American competition agency”. Speaking at the American Bar Association’s Fall Forum, Wu discussed the Biden administration’s “whole-of-government” approach to competition policy, explaining that it is “the role of the Competition Council to coordinate and make effective the authority granted by various agencies to Congress”.
