When deep in the trenches of a years-long case, it can be easy to assume that the world revolves around antitrust. The first day of the new Supreme Court term served as an unwelcome reminder that competition law is not the centre of our solar system. On Monday, the justices rejected antitrust-related requests for review from Vitamin C purchasers, the City of Oakland and banks accused of manipulating the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR).
