All the Qualcomm news that’s fit to print: The Tipline for 3 December 2019
Yesterday, Qualcomm fought the certification of what it is calling the “largest” ever class challenging its licensing practices in oral arguments before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The private plaintiffs’ lawsuit seeking monetary damages mimics allegations brought by the Federal Trade Commission who earned an injunction against the chipmaker in May. The commission received a boost from several amici curiae briefs yesterday urging the court to uphold the ruling. The arguments in that case are now set for February.
