42 days and 42 nights: The Tipline for 16 November 2023

For 42 days, the Department of Justice and Google flooded Judge Amit Mehta with biblical portions of evidence, shepherding two of every kind of fact witness and expert into the US District Court for District of Columbia to create what is likely the most complete public record of search engine competition ever known. The last of the evidentiary portion of US v Google concludes today, leaving Judge Mehta and his clerks with many sleepless nights trying to wade through seas of charts, emails and case law in search of dry land. Also in Tipline, one lawmaker alleges a movie studio may have violated the Sherman Act by reducing output for Wile E Coyote and the Road Runner.
