Another Winter’s Tale: The Tipline for 12 March 2021

After leaving the Department of Justice in January, former antitrust chief Makan Delrahim made his debut before the Supreme Court of Sicily last night as he represented King Leontes and Queen Hermione in a virtual mock trial over a dispute based on a reimagining of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. It may not have been an antitrust case, but that didn’t stop Delrahim from mentioning the consumer welfare standard during his arguments. In today’s Tipline, Senate Republicans again attack Big Tech over censorship concerns and poultry companies fail in their attempt to get class action claims dismissed.
