Those included Australia’s competition watchdog rejecting a Google/Fitbit remedy accepted in Europe; China launching a probe of Alibaba that could serve as a bellwether for digital enforcement; Hong Kong initiating its first-ever abuse of market power case; Korea’s conditional clearance of a major merger in the food delivery sector; and Japan’s imposition of fines in the high profile “maglev case”.
