FTC sues to block Tronox/Cristal: The Tipline for 6 December 2017

And we’ll have more on this tomorrow: late yesterday afternoon the Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit to block Tronox’s $1.7 billion acquisition of the titanium dioxide business of its rival Cristal. The lawsuit comes on the heels of a weekend Tronox press release that said the company would proceed with the acquisition after the statutory waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act expired on Friday evening.
