Don’t move away from consumer welfare, subcommittee head warns
The chairman of the Senate antitrust subcommittee yesterday pushed back against progressive calls for antitrust reform, warning that competition oversight could be politicised if the consumer welfare standard is abandoned for a more “subjective” approach.
