Headed by the well-respected Chris Holding, GOODWIN PROCTER counsels clients in several industries. Some of the group’s recent antitrust work includes the representation of Barbri, a bar exam prep company, in a lawsuit brought by a competitor against it and several universities for allegedly conspiring to push the rival out of business and maintain a monopoly over the testing market.
Holding also regularly files appellate briefs on behalf of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association, which finds itself peripherally involved in a slew of lawsuits. Additionally, the team, which includes two other partners who spend more than half of their time on antitrust issues, provides advising on pricing issues – especially as it relates to intellectual property and the internet.
