AnJie Law Firm

11 January 2018

China

Zhan Hao leads the impressive team at AnJie Law Firm, which has built an excellent reputation in behavioural and litigation matters. Three more partners in Beijing, including the recently promoted Song Ying, and one in Shanghai round out the senior team, which also can tap the skills of senior government affairs strategy consultant Gillian Xi, who recently joined AnJie after more than two decades in Mofcom. The firm has been involved in almost all of the NDRC’s investigations, including in infant milk, LCD, telecoms, insurance and pharmaceuticals.

AnJie currently represents Hitachi Metals in a case related to the rare earth sector, in which four magnet manufacturers have accused the company of abusive conduct relating to non-standard essential patents. Zhan Hao represented Chinese state-owned enterprise Sinopec in a successful appeal against a Yunnan Intermediate People’s Court ruling that held it liable for abuse of dominance, after it refused to buy biodiesel from Ying Ding. Hao also represented the company in a fresh first-instance trial in June 2016. In deals, the firm has represented Honeywell as it bought the Elster Group.
