In 2012, Araújo e Policastro merged with antitrust and litigation boutique Lanna Peixoto Advogados, home of former SDE official and firm co-founder Bruno Peixoto. The team comprises two partners and three associates handling antitrust work full-time. As well as advising clients on merger control and CADE investigtions, the firm has a strong competition litigation practice representing several corporate clients in follow-on recovery actions, including steel producer Usiminas and the Association of Hospitals of São Paulo against Praxair following CADE’s ruling in the gases cartel case.
