Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee The agency was born in November 1993 Yuriy Terentyev has been chairman since May 2015 The agency made global headlines in 2016 when fining Gazprom €3.2 billion for abuse of dominance The budget at Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee has fluctuated in recent years – reaching as high as US$9.1 million in 2013, and as low as US$2.7 million in 2015; its budget was US$5.54 million in 2017. Of its 304 staff members, 85 are are economists, 104 are lawyers, and 10 have doctorates, and for the 2016 year, they focused on pharmaceuticals and energy as sector priorities. In 2017, the priorities shifted to include food markets and fuel as well.
