Kazakhstan’s Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights

Not only is the Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights still a relatively young authority, the Republic of Kazakhstan is still a young country. It gained its independence in 1991 following the break-up of the Soviet Union, and in the same year it introduced its first specialised competition act.
