Bayer divests weed killers in Monsanto deal

Bayer aims to tackle the European Commission’s competition concerns about the chemical company’s acquisition of rival Monsanto by selling the non-selective herbicide and “LibertyLink” plant gene to BASF, subject to the enforcer’s approval of the Bayer/Monsanto deal.
