President Donald Trump on Friday signed a bill to reopen the federal government until 15 February. During the next three weeks, the president said he will continue to push Congress to pass a homeland security package that includes more physical barriers on the southern border. Meanwhile, unpaid Federal Trade Commission lawyers were grilling Qualcomm’s witnesses at trial and the head of the Department of Justice’s antitrust division got a free copy of the Federalist Papers for speaking at Tony Cheng’s in Washington, DC.
