Zhaofeng Zhou has acted for both international and domestic clients for over 12 years, earning a name as a leading individual in the field of competition law.
As one of the pioneers in the field of competition law in China, Zhaofeng Zhou began practising in late 2007, prior to the Chinese Antimonopoly Law coming into effect. He has worked on several groundbreaking competition law projects in China, such as the first notification in the aviation industry, the first notification of an R&D joint venture and the first post-divestiture case in China. During the past decade, he has advised airlines on negotiating alliances and joint ventures. He has also advised companies on antitrust contentious matters and has advised clients on antitrust investigations.
Zhaofeng Zhou has advised major international and domestic companies in sectors such as aviation, aircraft manufacturing, automotive, e-commerce, internet, mining equipment, new energy, pharmaceuticals and TMT.
He has a PhD degree in competition law from the University of Glasgow and an LLM degree in international law from the University of Bristol.
