Vandy Howell is a vice president at Cornerstone Research and an economist with expertise in industrial organisation and labour economics. Dr Howell's focus at Cornerstone Research has been on antitrust, intellectual property, marketing and breach-of-contract matters, as well as matters focusing on labour markets. She has expertise in applying economic theory to complicated market settings and developing complex models using econometric techniques. She has consulted on a number of high-profile antitrust cases, such as In re High Fructose Corn Syrup Antitrust Litigation, In re Vitamins Antitrust Litigation and In re Compensation of Managerial, Professional & Technical Employees Antitrust Litigation.Dr Howell has expertise and consulting experience on class certification matters, and she coauthored the study 'Economics of Class Certification in Indirect Purchaser Antitrust Cases', published in Competition, the journal of the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section of the California State Bar. In addition, she has taught industrial organisation and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr Howell received her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
