Thomas Vinje is Clifford Chance’s chairman emeritus of the global antitrust group. He is specialised in EU antitrust and intellectual property law, especially in technology matters.
Thomas is a non-governmental adviser to the European Commission on unilateral conduct matters.
Thomas has authored numerous articles on intellectual property and competition issues. He is a professor II at the University of Bergen in Norway, where he teaches competition law. He also lectures at the Universities of Amsterdam and Zurich and sits on the board of editors for Computer und Recht International and European Intellectual Property Review.
Thomas was designated Lawyer of the Year in 2018 by Global Competition Review. He has also been recognised as a leading competition expert by Chambers, The Legal 500 and Expert Guides.
