Simon Albert is an associate in the EU and competition law group at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP in London. Simon advises on a wide range of European and UK competition law issues, including merger control, cartel matters, state aid and public procurement. He has worked in both London and Brussels and is proficient in French and German. Simon has published a number of articles in competition law journals on topics such as the De Beers/Alrosa case, the new Indian competition regime, and competition law compliance training for Construction Manager magazine. Simon is the co-author of the chapter on the application of competition law to outsourcing arrangements in a leading UK textbook. Simon studied at Jesus College, Oxford and is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
