Sarah heads the European and Competition Law team of Van Doorne. She has been advising clients on all aspects of competition law for more than 30 years and has been involved in many of the ground-breaking competition cases brought before the Dutch competition authority and Dutch administrative and civil courts. Sarah obtained the first commitment decision and first settlement decision taken by the Authority for Consumers and Markets and has negotiated settlements in multi-party court proceedings
Sarah represents companies in relation to suspected anticompetitive behaviour (restrictive agreements and abuse of dominance). She also advises clients on strategic cooperation and transactions and supervises the necessary (multijurisdictional) regulatory filings, including in relation to merger control and Foreign Direct Investment.
