Samid Hussain

Samid Hussain is a principal at Cornerstone Research and specialises in applying economic analysis to issues of class certification, liability, and damages in antitrust, intellectual property, consumer fraud, product liability, marketing and breach of contract cases. He has extensive experience in a wide range of antitrust matters, including price fixing, collusion, monopolisation, predation, tying, exclusionary practices and antitrust issues associated with intellectual property. He also has expertise in a variety of industries, including automobile, high technology, pharmaceutical, chemical, gasoline, biotechnology, airline, and tobacco. Dr Hussain is one of the authors of ‘Economics of Class Certification in Indirect Purchaser Antitrust Cases,’ published in Competition, the journal of the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section of the California State Bar. He has also contributed to the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s Indirect Purchaser Litigation Handbook (2007). Dr Hussain received his PhD in economics from Cornell University.
