Ruth is an associate in the Freshfields antitrust group and is based in Hong Kong. She has also worked in the firm’s antitrust teams in London and Beijing.Ruth advises on merger and behavioural antitrust matters relating to China and Hong Kong. She has experience assisting corporates in conducting internal antitrust audits and crafting compliance training programmes, reviewing commercial cooperation and distribution arrangements, and advising on Chinese merger control cases involving complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.Ruth received her bachelor of arts from McGill University and her bachelor of laws from the University of British Columbia in Canada. Ruth also holds a postgraduate diploma in European Union Competition Law from King’s College London. She is qualified in Hong Kong and New York.
