Ricardo Lara Gaillard

Ricardo Lara Gaillard is a partner in the antitrust, compliance and anti-corruption and corporate governance area at Souza Cescon. He has extensive experience representing domestic and foreign companies, private equity firms and individual clients in connection with merger control matters, violations of the antitrust law, including cartel investigations, and execution of leniency agreements with the Brazilian Antitrust Agency.He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Law School the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) in 2005 and his degree as specialist of corporate law from Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC) in 2010. He was an international associate at the Washington, DC office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP Between 2011 and 2012. In 2014, he was made a certified compliance and ethics professional by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
