Pedro Urdaneta

Pedro Urdaneta is a partner with the Caracas-based law firm of Imery Urdaneta Calleja Itriago & Flamarique and a member of the firm's antitrust group. Prior to founding Imery Urdaneta, Mr. Urdaneta worked as a corporate attorney at the law firm of Torres Plaz & Araujo and as a foreign attorney at the law firm of Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC. Mr. Urdaneta advises large and medium-sized local and multinational companies in a variety of industries regarding antitrust corporate compliance and the implications of proposed mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and international distribution agreements. He has counselled multinational companies in the Venezuelan portion of global mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and demergers. He is an active member of the international antitrust committee of the American Bar Association's section of international law. He is also a professor of law for the Masters degree in telecommunications management and technology at Universidad Metropolitana.
