Pedro Suárez Fernández is a partner at Ramón y Cajal Abogados and leads the firm's competition and European Union law practice area. He is also co-responsible for the agri-food law area of the firm.
Pedro frequently provides advice on merger control and practices restricting competition, and has represented numerous companies in administrative proceedings before the competition authorities. He is highly experienced in leading legal teams in contentious proceedings related to competition law and in the evaluation of corporate practices that could potentially restrict competition, particularly in the context of commercial distribution.
Prior to joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados, Pedro practised law at Spanish and international law firms known for their outstanding work in competition law matters. His professional trajectory has afforded him special expertise in payment systems, as well as in the postal, telecommunications, air and consumer goods distribution fields.
