Paola Pugliese earned her law degree from the University of São Paulo School of Law in 1999. Ms Pugliese earned an LLM degree summa cum laude in competition law from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany, in 2004. She advises on antitrust and competition law matters for 13 years, with particular focus on challenging cross-border and local mergers, as well as high-profile cartel and other anti-competitive behaviour investigations. Paola has experience in several sectors of the Brazilian economy, including mining, aviation, pharmaceutical, medical devices, transportation, oil and gas, food and beverages, retail, meatpacking and jet fuel, among several others. She also assists companies in designing and implementing efficient compliance programmes.
