Pallavi S Shroff

Ms Shroff is a senior partner at Amarchand Mangaldas. She has nearly 30 years of experience in advising high-profile clients on contentious matters relating to litigation, arbitration and competition law.She has been actively associated with Competition Policy and Law in India. She was a key member of the SVS Raghavan Committee, besides being part of the Standing Committee of Parliament reviewing the Competition Act 2000. She leads the vibrant practice at Amarchand Mangaldas, which has the largest competition law team in India.She was also a key member of the Advisory Committee of regulations set up by the Competition Commission of India (CCI); member of the Committee set up by the Planning Commission to recommend national competition policy and approach for the 11th plan; member of the advisory committee set up by the Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board to frame guidelines and regulations; and member of the competition advocacy advisory committee of CCI. Under her leadership, the competition practice of the firm has won various accolades both nationally and internationally. She is a regular speaker at several national and international conferences, besides contributing to several international competition law publications. She was selected to feature in the Guide to the World’s Leading Women in Business Law – the first ever guide dedicated to the world’s leading female practitioners in the Commercial Arbitration category. She was also recently awarded the Euromoney award for best Asian woman lawyer for dispute resolution.
