Oliver Fleischmann is a special counsel based in WilmerHale’s Berlin office with more than 15 years of professional experience. He advises clients in various industries, in particular regulated industries, on German and European competition and merger control law, as well as German and international foreign direct investment control law. Mr Fleischmann has represented clients in numerous merger control proceedings as well as FDI and other governmental investigations before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office and the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. One focus of his practice is the energy sector, where he advises oil and gas producers, energy suppliers and energy infrastructure operators on all aspects of German and European competition, FDI and energy regulation.
