Niklas Strand

Niklas Strand is a specialist in antitrust economics and industrial organisation. He has done research and teaching in these areas, and has published on pricing and on antitrust issues such as mergers and relevant market definition.Niklas specialises in advising clients on economic aspects of competition cases; in particular concerning articles 101 and 102, damage claims and state aid. At Copenhagen Economics, Niklas has been involved in cases in areas such as the postal sector and media markets. He has appeared as an expert witness at the highest competition court in Sweden.Niklas has a PhD in economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to joining Copenhagen Economics in 2009 he worked at the Swedish Competition Authority and at the Swedish Post and Telecom Regulator.
