Dr Namwoo Kim is a senior foreign lawyer and partner at Trinity Legal, a Seoul-based business law firm. He started his legal career at the Office of International Affairs, the US Federal Trade Commission, as a foreign legal consultant. Then he served as an antitrust counsel at LG Electronics, Inc, where he was primarily responsible for the antitrust compliance programme and consultations. After LG Electronics, he worked as an attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, providing legal services mainly related to global antitrust and competition law and consumer protection law issues.
Clients call on Dr Kim for counsel regarding cross-border transactions, cross-border investments and competition law. His primary areas of expertise are competition, M&A and commercial transactions. He also teaches competition law, corporate law, and law and economics at various universities and law schools in South Korea. He publishes articles mostly in the field of antitrust law and competition policy. He is a member of North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He received his SJD from American University Washington College of Law and an LLM and LLCM from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
