Musaed N Alotaibi

Secretary generalDr Musaed Alotaibi holds a BA degree from the law college of King Saud University in Riyadh, and a master’s degree in international business law and a PhD in competition law, both from the University of Central Lancashire, UK.Dr Alotaibi has worked as an assistant professor and chairman of the department of law at Al-Yamamah University, as well as in The Law Firm of Salah Al-Hejailan in association with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, KSA, as a senior legal adviser. He also worked as an assistant professor of competition law and consumer protection at Dar Al Uloom University and Arab East College. Currently, Dr Alotaibi is secretary general of the Council of Competition.His research interests are in competition law, consumer protection law, commercial law, company law, intellectual property laws (trademarks, trade names, copyright, patents), commercial dispute resolution and research methodology in legal studies. Dr Alotaibi has participated in several conferences and seminars and is a member of the Saudi Ministry of Justice and Arab Lawyer Union.
