Mónica Cabeza de Vaca is an associate at Von Wobeser y Sierra. She works primarily in complex merger notifications and investigations of anticompetitive practices. Mónica advises on various competition matters in Mexico, including investigation proceedings for anticompetitive practices, leniency programme applications, judicial processes and merger notifications. She also advises on the design and implementation of compliance programmes in relation to the antitrust law in Mexico. She has more than eight years of experience in the practice.

Before joining the firm, she worked in COFECE and in the specialised courts in the field. Mónica has broad experience in various industries, including telecommunications, real estate, digital platforms, energy and financial services.

Mónica obtained a law degree from the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology and an MBL degree from the Free University of Berlin.
